About Index
Index was created out of frustration with how a place is usually represented. Too often, locations are reduced to logos, slogans, or souvenirs. Clothing that announces where you’ve been, but says little about how you live.
Index takes a different approach. We design wearable references to place and practice. Subtle markers that reflect time spent, routines formed, and culture absorbed. Not for display, but for recognition.
Our roots are in mountain towns, where identity is shaped less by branding and more by repetition: early mornings, familiar routes, seasonal rhythms – places you return to until they start to feel like part of you.
Index isn’t about claiming a place. It’s about being shaped by one.
